History

The IPME of Shanghai University was established in 1988, which is affiliated to Shanghai University. The researches of the institute mainly covers mechanical engineering, instrumental science and technology, and it focus on the field of precision engineering and robotics technology. Successive directors are Professor Linzhi Sun and Professor Zhenbang Gong.

The current director is Professor Yanan Zhang.

Aim

Service to the needs of economic construction, social development and national security, we are engaged in the research and application of application foundation, frontier technology and engineering application in the field of precision engineering and robot technology.

Research areas

(1) Advanced Robot Technology and Micromechanical System Based on Precision Engineering;

(2) Precision Detection Technology on Optical Engineering;

(3) Advanced Manufacturing System Based on Artificial Intelligence

(4) Vibration and Fault Diagnosis

Location:

Our Institute is located in the Jizi Building(Building No.9) in the east of Baoshan Campus, Shanghai University. It covers an area of 600 square meters. There are 28 researchers, 4 research groups.
